Dill Cornbread
Add some herbs and cheddar for the best cornbread ever!

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons shortening
- 2 cups milk
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 cup butter melted
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 cups Miceli's Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 1 cup dill leaves chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F, and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with the shortening.
- Combine the milk, eggs, and butter.
- Combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt, and then add the milk mixture, cheddar, and dill.
- Let them sit for about 20 minutes, add the mixture to the dish, and then let it bake for about 30 minutes.
Notes
The butter can be melted in a pan over low heat or in the microwave using 30-second intervals. Cut the bread into approximately 12 pieces for serving!
