BLT
Our favorite version of a classic BLT!

Ingredients
- 8 slices Italian bread
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons Miceli's Romano Cheese shredded
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic grated
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- ⅛ teaspoon sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
- 2 leaves romaine lettuce halved
- 2 heirloom tomatoes sliced
- 2 avocados sliced
Instructions
- Set your broiler to high.
- Add the bread to a baking sheet, and then let it broil for about 1 minute.
- Add the bacon to a skillet over medium heat, let it cook for about 12 minutes, and then drain it.
- Combine the Romano, mayonnaise, garlic, juice, mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the lettuce between 4 slices of the bread, and then add the Romano mixture, tomatoes, avocados, and bacon.
Notes
The toothpick on top makes it official! You can toast your bread however you’d like.
