Primary Responsibilities

• Perform packaging duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Work in assigned area of the packaging line.
• Package, palletize, and label various products.
• Record essential packaging information with accordance with the SQF procedures.
• Assist in bulk packaging of mozzarella from brine.
• Record essential information pertaining to bulk packaging.
• Rotate between lines and positions practicing good ergonomics.
• Work in a coordinated and cooperative manner in a team setting with team goals.
• Read and understand production and packaging schedule and packaging verification reports.
• Assist in setting up for production and changeovers.
• Visually inspect product for quality defects.
• Observe all safety rules, work rules and procedures.
• Know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures.
• Other general dairy work as assigned.
• Capable of working independently and as a team.

SQF/Food Safety Responsibilities:

• Assure compliance with all SQF procedure requirements, GMP requirements.
• All products are manufactured in a safe, quality manner.
• Comply with customer specifications.
• Promote and enforce compliance with all employees.

Must demonstrate strength and aerobic capacity for the job including having capability in kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling and grasping. Typically required to lift heavy packages, bend, stoop, and operate heavy machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
