Mozzarella Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ensure the Mozzarella Department is operating according to standards.

· Analyze and evaluate information concerning daily operations and how these results positively or negatively affect department performance.

· Ensure department is running in a smooth and efficient manner, complete supervisor rounds a required.

· Work with all departments to:

1. Maintain proper adherence to GMP, GSP and QC policy and procedure.

2. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.

· Analyze methods for procedures and use problem solving skills to adjust as needed.

· Complete records and charting.

· Meet regularly with shift supervisors and sanitation managers to maintain communication between departments; manage as issues arise.

· Perform administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely and professional manner such as phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, emails and meetings.

· Actively work on production floor to facilitate the exchange of dates between various departments.

· Promote open communication with all employees including department managers.

· Implement special projects and procedures as directed.

Team Leadership and Development Responsibilities:

· Supervise, train and mentor a team of production staff, ensuring they are proficient in their roles and adhere to all procedures.

· Conduct performance evaluations, address employee concerns, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.

· Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability, on the production floor.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Must be able to multi-task in a calm and orderly manner.

· Strong communication skills are a must, including writing and verbal.

Education and/or Experience:

· High School Diploma/Ged required.

· Associate degree in business administration or dairy science preferred.

· Knowledge of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

· 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

· Experience in food manufacturing.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
